Improved GitHub image syncing

We have added an exciting feature that makes integrating content via GitHub much easier!

Previously, you needed to provide external hosting for images, or upload them from within Next Tech’s markdown editor to get a Filestack URL (Filestack is the service Next Tech uses to host images). This was tedious, so we’ve made it easier!

Now, syncing a GitHub markdown file will:

  1. Look for any images hosted on URLs other than a Filestack one, or for images referenced using a “local” filepath inside the GitHub repository.
  2. Download those images and upload them to Filestack, generating new Filestack URLs.
  3. Replace the contents of the image blocks in the GitHub markdown file with the new Filestack URLs and push that change to GitHub for you.

This works for both public and private repositories.
